Who we are

Rwanda Animal Resources Improvement Cooperative is a cooperative created in 2017 by 36 members graduated in Animal Sciences, Veterinary Medicines, Wildlife and Aquatic Resource Management and related fields. It is legally registered in RCA on No RCA/0320/2018 of 14/06/2018 and published in official gazette no.30 of Republic of Rwanda on 23rd July 2018. In 2020, we have 90 members (66 males and 24 females). Many of our members have done on-job trainings in Israel International Agriculture Training Center, Agrostudies and Kinneret College.

2017
Started the Cooperative
 RARICO started officially in General Assembly of 5/12/2017 with 36 members (29 males and 7 females) in Jabana Sector of Gasabo District with aim of improving Animal Resources in Quality and Quantity in Rwanda. In this time RARICO had Board of Directors composed by 5 persons and Supervisory Committee (3 persons)

2018
Provincial Representatives
RARICO decided to choose among members five representatives at provincial level in order to decentralize authority and help members across the country to make easy the implementation of RARICO objectives.

2019
Achievement
Until the year 2020, we are ranked among youth organizations engaged in Agriculture by Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources (MINAGRI), and won an international tender in Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resource Development Board (RAB) with a contract award of Promoting Fish Farming in Ponds and Manage Properly Rwandan Lakes (PFFP&MPRL). We are very proud of this achievement.
